FORMER PRINCIPAL – REV DR OSATO OSAGHAE

Rev Dr Osato Osaghae was the Principal of Logos European College from January 2013 until his passing into the presence of the Lord on 2 October 2020.

He had been in ministry from his teens and as a young man, he travelled all over Nigeria, the country of his birth, evangelising.  He later became a Pastor and his particular giftings were teaching, preaching and intercessory prayer.

He brought to the role of Principal considerable management skills and a wealth of knowledge about the British and American education systems.  The College benefitted greatly from his wide experience.

When Osato took over the role of Principal, with great respect for his predecessor, he navigated the College through a period of change.  This involved the way lectures were presented and the development of new programmes, courses and seminars.

After being accredited by ASIC (Accreditation Service for International Colleges) in 2008, the next goal was to attain Premier Status.  During Osato’s time as Principal, the College was awarded Premier Status by ASIC in 2013 and then again in 2017.

Osato will be remembered for his dynamic teaching and preaching, his extensive knowledge of the Word of God and how willing he always was to share that with others.  He cared a great deal about the work and the progress of the College.  With the students, he always had a very hands-on approach, often spending time with them well after lectures were finished, discussing their work or concerns.  His pastor’s heart was always very evident.

Osato was a wonderful Principal, colleague and brother in Christ and will be very much missed, but the legacy left by him and the late Rev Dr Geoff Carr will continue to benefit many.
